  294. The Levites' cities are their possessions, which they may redeem at any time.
  295. The fields in the suburbs of the Levites' cities may never be sold.

  297. If someone in your country becomes poor and is sold to you as a slave, treat that person as a servant, not as a slave, and set him free on the next jubilee year.
  298. When you buy slaves, buy a heathen from a nearby country.
  299. You may also buy slaves that are strangers, or their children that are born in your land.
  300. Your slaves are your property and your children will inherit them after you die. They will be your family's slaves forever.
