1 Corinthians: Commandments

  1. Agree with everyone about everything. 1:10

  2. Don't fornicate. 1:18, 10:8

  3. If you think you are wise, become a fool so that you will be wise. 3:18

  4. Don't glory in men. 3:21

  5. Don't judge anyone or anything until the Lord comes. 4:5

  6. Follow Paul. 4:16, 11:1

  7. Purge out the old leaven and become a new lump. 5:7

  8. Don't eat or associate with the wicked children of disobedience. 5:9-13

  9. Don't let unbelievers settle disputes between believers. 6:1-7

  10. Glorify God. 6:20

  11. If you can't control yourself, get married. 7:1-2, 8-9

  12. To avoid fornication and Satan's temptation, have sex whenever your spouse requires it. 7:2-5

  13. If you're not married, don't get married. 7:7, 8, 25-26, 27

  14. A married believer should stay with an unbelieiving spouse, unless the unbelieving spouse decides to leave. 7:12-15

  15. If you are circumcised, don't become uncircumcised. 7:18a

  16. If you are uncircumcised, don't get circumcised. 7:18b

  17. If you are a slave, don't worry about it. 7:21a

  18. If you are set free, that's OK too. 7:21b

  33. Women must cover their heads while praying or prophesying. 11:5

  34. If a woman refuses to cover her head while praying or prophesying, shave her head. 11:5-6

  35. Men shouldn't cover their heads. 11:7

  36. Women should have power on their heads. 11:9-10

  37. Men shouldn't have long hair. 11:14

  38. Eat Jesus's flesh and drink his blood. 11:23-24

  39. Remember Jesus when you eat his body and blood. 11:24

  40. Don't eat the bread and cup of the Lord unworthily. 11:27-29

  41. Covet the best gifts. 12:31

  42. Try to live peaceably with everyone. 13:11

  43. Speak in tongues. 14:5

  44. When you speak in an unknown tongue, pray that someone will interpret it. 14:13

  45. Don't be children in understanding. 14:20a

  47. Be adults in understanding. 14:20c

  48. Edify one another. 14:26

  49. No more than two or three people should speak in tongues, with someone to interpret it. 14:27

  50. Don't speak in tongues unless an interpreter is present. 14:28

  51. At every church service, two or three prophets should speak and everyone else should judge what they say. 14:29

  52. If something is revealed to you while you're sitting, wait for the other prophets have finished their prophecies. 14:30-31

  53. Women are not allowed to speak in church. 14:34-35

  54. If a woman wants to learn something, she should ask her husband at home. 14:35

  55. If you think you are a prophet or spiritual, you must first acknowledge that everything that Paul says is a commandment from God. 14:37

  56. If any man is ignorant, let him be ignorant. 14:38

  57. Covet to prophesy. 14:39a

  58. Don't forbid people to speak in tongues. 14:39b

  59. Do everything decently and in order. 14:40

  60. Follow righteousness. 15:34

  61. Be steadfast, unmovable. 15:58a

  62. Work hard for Jesus. 15:58b

  63. Watch. 16:13a

  64. Keep the faith. 16:13b
