Alif. Lam. Mim. 2 Do believers think they won't be tested with affliction just because they believe? 3 Well, we [Allah] tested those who lived before you to find out who was sincere. 4 Do those who do ill-deeds think they can fool us? 5 Well, they can't.
We'll forgive those who do good. 8 We've commanded you to be kind to your parents. Obey me. 9 If you believe and do good, I'll consider you righteous.
Allah knows who believes and who doesn't. 12 Those who say that their religion can bear your sins are liars. 13 Everyone will bear their own loads and others besides their own.
We sent Noah to his people when he was 950 years old.
-17 Abraham said to his people, “You should serve Allah. But you serve idols instead.”
-23 Say this Muhammad, “Allah is able to do anything. He punishes or rewards whomever he wants. You can't escape from him in the earth or in the sky. There's no helper besides him. Those who disbelieve in Allah's revelations have no hope of mercy. There's will be a painful doom.”
But his people said, "Kill him" or "Burn him." But Allah saved him from the fire.
Abraham said, “You have chosen idols instead of Allah. So on the day of resurrection, you will live in the fire. And you'll have no helpers.”
Lot said, “I'm a fugitive to my Lord.”
We gave him Isaac and Jacob and made him a prophet. He was a righteous man.
Lot said, “You commit lewdness like no other creature before you, having sex with males.”
But they said, “If you're telling the truth, bring Allah's doom upon us.”
When our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said, “We're going to destroy everyone in that town.”
-34 But Abraham said, "Lo! Lot is there.”
The messengers said, "Yeah, we know that. We'll save him and his family, except for his wife, who will stay behind. We'll bring fury down from the sky on this town because they are evil-livers."
We [Allah] sent Shu'eyb to Midian, who said to them, “Serve Allah, look forward to the last day, and don't do evil.”
But they didn't do what he said, so they were killed by an earthquake.
Satan misled the tribes of A'ad and Thamud, so Allah destroyed them.
Moses came with clear proofs to Korah, Pharaoh, and Haman, but they were boastful and didn't win the race. 40 So we sent a hurricane to kill Haman, buried Korah alive, and drowned the Pharaoh. But Allah didn't hurt them; they hurt themselves.
People who choose another protector besides Allah are like spiders, who live in the frailest of all houses. 43 We coin these similitudes for people, but most don't understand them.
Don't argue with Christians and Jews. Say to them: “We believe what has been revealed to us and to you. We worship the same God.”
No one denies our revelations except for disbelievers.
And you (Muhammad) aren't a reader. You've never read or written any scriptures.
No one denies our revelations except for wrong-doers.
When they say, "Why doesn't Allah send you any signs?"
Say: "I'm just a plain warner."
/sup> Those who disbelieve in Allah are losers. 53 The doom of Allah will fall upon them when they least expect it. 54 Hell will encompass disbelievers. 55 When hell overwhelms them from above and below, he [Allah] will say to them, "Taste what your used to do!"
The worst thing anyone can do is invent a lie about Allah. Isn't there a home in hell for disbelievers?
