Episode 29: Allah will fill hell with jinn and mankind (Surahs 30-32)
Surah 30: The Romans (Al-Rum)
The Romans have been defeated
1 Alif. Lam. Mim. 2-3 The Romans have been defeated in the nearer land, and after that, they'll be victorious. 4 Within ten years, Allah will be in command and the believers will rejoice. 6 This is a promise of Allah.
11 Allah produces creation, then he reproduces it.
They will reject their partners
12 Someday unrighteous people will despair. 13 Those that they claimed were Allah's partners won't help them.
15 Those who believed and did good works will be made happy in the garden. 16 But those who disbelieved, denied our [Allah's] revelations, and denied the hereafter, will be brought to doom.
19 Allah makes dead people live and live people dead. 20 He created you from dust.
Helpmeets
21 Allah created for you helpmeets. Be merciful and loving toward each other.
26 Everything belongs to Allah and everyone obeys him.
Your so-called partners
38 Help your family, the needy, and wayfarers.
40 Allah causes you to die, then he brings you back to life. Can any of his so-called partners do that?
45 Allah doesn't love disbelievers.
A yellow wind
50 Allah quickened the earth after it died. He's the Quickener of the Dead.
51 If we [Allah] sent a wind and colored it yellow, disbelievers still wouldn't believe.
56 When the hour comes, the guilty will think they've only been dead for an hour -- but they'll be wrong.
58 We've coined all kinds of similitudes in the Quran.
If you showed them a miracle, the disbelievers would say, “You are just tricksters!” 59 That's the way Allah seals their hearts.
Surah 31: Luqman
The butt of mockery
1 Alif. Lam. Mim. 2 These are revelations of the wise Scripture.
4 Help the needy.
6 Those who make the Quran the butt of mockery will have a shameful doom. 7 Give them tidings of a painful doom.
8 Those who believe and do good works will live in gardens of delight.
Luqman: Don't say Allah has partners
12 We [Allah] gave Luqman wisdom. 13 Remember when Luqman said to his son, “Don't say Allah has partners. 17 Be kind. 19 Be modest and soft spoken.”
We give them comfort for a little while
23 Allah will give disbelievers a little comfort for a little while, and then he'll torment them forever with a heavy doom.
Surah 32: The Prostration (As-Sajdah)
Did he invent it?
1 Alif. Lam. Mim. This is the revelation of no doubt from the Lord of the Worlds.
3 They say, "Did he invent it?" No, it's the truth from your Lord.
4 Allah created the heavens and the earth in six days. 6 A day for Allah is a thousand years.
7 He created man from clay.
Allah will fill hell with jinn and mankind
14 Taste the doom of immortality because of what you used to do.
19 But those who believe and do good works will go to the garden of repose.
20 Those who do evil will go to a fire retreat, where it'll be said to them, “Taste the torment of the fire which you didn't believe in.” 21 We'll make them taste the lesser punishment before the greater, so they can happily return again.
22 The worst thing a person can do is reject Allah's revelations after they've been reminded of them.
29 How many generations have we destroyed!
