And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth
for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such
as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that
time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in
The man in linen continues talking to Daniel, saying:
At that time, Michael will stand up.
And there'll be trouble like that world has never seen before.
But those whose names are written the the book will be OK.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Many will rise from the dead, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting contempt.
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and
they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
The wise will shine like stars.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time
of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
But you, Daniel, must shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end, when many will
run to a fro and knowledge will increase.
Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this
side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the
Then I saw two other guys, one on this side of the river and the other on the other side.
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
One of them said to the man in linen,
When will all this happen?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and
when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all
these things shall be finished.
The man in linen, who was standing on the water holding up his hands, swore to God, saying,
The end will come after a time, times, and a half.
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be
the end of these things?
I heard what he said, but I didn't understand it.
So I said,
So when will the end come?
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed
till the time of the end.
Go away, Daniel.
The words are sealed until the time of the end.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do
wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall
Many will be purified and made white.
Wicked people will do wicked things and won't understand.
But the wise will understand.
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the
abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two
hundred and ninety days.
From the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination of desolations is set up, there
will be 1290 days.
Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and
five and thirty days.
Blessed are they that wait 1335 days.
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy
lot at the end of the days.
So live your life until the end happens.
You'll rest and stand when the world ends.
- And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life.
Is death final?
Does Hell exist?
What the Bible says about hell
- He held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever (v.7)
Is it OK to take oaths?
- I heard, but I understood not. (v.8)
Not even Daniel could understand what the man in linen said about the end of the world.
- Many shall be purified, and made white. (v.10)
So is everyone in heaven white? Or do only white people go there? Or what?
