Does God want children to die?


No, he doesn't want any to die.

It is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18:14

Yes, he often kills children and commands others to do so as well.

God drowned all children (except for Noah's) in a flood. Genesis 7:21-22

He killed all the children of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 19:24

He commanded Abraham to kill his son for a burnt offering. Genesis 22:2

He murdered the Egyptian firstborn children. Exodus 12:30

He ordered the Israelites to kill all of the children in the cities that they invaded. Deuteronomy 20:16, Joshua 10:40

He commanded Saul to kill all of the Amalekite children. 1 Samuel 15:2-3

He killed David's newborn son to punish David for having Uriah killed. 2 Sam.12:15, 18

He sent bears to kill 42 little boys for making fun of Elisha's bald head. 2 Kings 2:23-24

He is praised for slaughtering little babies. Palm 135:8, 136:10

He will cause fathers to eat their sons and sons to eat their fathers. Ezekiel 5:10

He told Hosea that he will "slay even the beloved fruit of the womb." Hosea 9:16

He promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and "their women with child shall be ripped up." Hosea 13:16

A prophet must be killed by his own parents by "thrusting him through when he prophesieth." Zechariah 13:3

He commands us to kill children who curse or strike their parents. Exodus 21:15, Leviticus 20:9, Deuteronomy 21:18-21

Someday God will make everyone drunk and then "dash the fathers and the sons together." He vows to "not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them." Jeremiah 13:13-14

He threatens to force parents to eat their own children. Jeremiah 19:9

Happiness is smashing your little children against rocks. Psalm 137:9
