1-2 They argue about the awful tidings. 4-5 But they'll find out soon enough.
12-13 We [Allah] have built above you seven strong heavens and a dazzling lamp.
17-20 The day of decision is fixed in time. The trumpet will blow and all the people will come. The heaven will open and the hills will move like a mirage.
21 The rebels in hell will be there for ages. 24-25 They'll have nothing cool to drink, only boiling water and a paralyzing cold.
28 They denied our revelations and called them false. 29 We wrote it all down in a book. 30 So taste the torment that you've earned. It will only get worse with time.
31-34 But the dutiful will live in gardens, with maidens for companions. And a full cup.
40 But a doom is coming. Disbelievers will cry: "I wish I were dust."
15-26 Moses went to the Pharaoh and showed him the tremendous token. But the Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. So Allah seized him and made him an example for the afterlife and the former life. That's a lesson for those who are fearful.
27-30 Which is harder to create: you or heaven? First he raised heaven and then he spread the earth.
34-39 When the great disaster happens, everyone will see hell.
