23 The pain of childbirth drove Mary to the trunk of a palm tree.
She said, “I wish I were dead.”
24-25 Someone from below said to her, “Don't be sad. Thy Lord has put a small river below you. Shake the trunk of the palm tree and ripe dates will fall.”
27-28 After Jesus was born, Mary brought him to her family, who said to her, “Oh sister of Aaron, your father wasn't wicked, and your mother wasn't a harlot.”
29 She pointed at the baby, and they said, “How can we talk to a baby in a cradle?”
30-33 Then the baby Jesus said, “I'm the slave of Allah. He gave me the Scripture and has made me a prophet. When I die I'll be raised alive!"
42-45 He said to his father, “Why do you worship something that you can't see or hear? Don't serve the devil. I fear Allah will punish you for being a comrade of the devil.”
46 His father said, “So you reject my gods? Get away from me or I'll stone you to death.”
49 So Abraham left his father, and we [Allah] gave him Isaac and Jacob. We made them prophets, too.
68 We will assemble the devils, and bring them, crouching, around hell. 69 Then we'll pluck out of every sect those who have most rebelled against us. 70 We know best who should be burned.
75 We may allow those who are in error to live long lives so their punishment will seem even worse in their hour of doom. 77 We will prolong the torment of those who disbelieve our revelations. 83 We will set the devils on disbelievers to confound them with confusion. 86 And drive the guilty into hell, like a weary herd of animals.
88-89 Those who say that Allah has taken a son have uttered a disastrous thing.
Many surahs (29 of 114) begin with apparently random Arabic letters. No one knows what they mean. (Wikipedia: Muqattaʿat)
You won't speak for three nights. (19:10)
In Luke's gospel, Zechariah couldn't speak for much longer than three nights. He couldn't speak until after John was born (at least nine months). (See Luke 1:18-45.)
We [Allah] sent Mary our spirit and it said to her (19:17-19)
