Isaiah: Selected Verses

  1. When ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear. - Isaiah 1:15
  2. How is the faithful city become an harlot. - Isaiah 1:18

  53. He hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. - Isaiah 34:2-3
  54. And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down. - Isaiah 34:4
  55. For my sword shall be bathed in heaven. - Isaiah 34:5
  56. The sword of the LORD is filled with blood. - Isaiah 34:6
  57. Hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?. - Isaiah 36:12
  58. With the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers. - Isaiah 37:25
  59. Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. - Isaiah 37:36
  60. I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees. - Isaiah 38:8

  93. He that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood. - Isaiah 66:3
  94. That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. - Isaiah 66:11
  95. Then shall ye suck ... and be dandled upon her knees. - Isaiah 66:12
  96. The LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. - Isaiah 66:15
  97. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. - Isaiah 66:16
  98. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. - Isaiah 66:24
