0 What The Mormon Scriptures says about Feet

I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book. Joseph Smith, History of the Church, 4:461

Feet

How beautiful are the feet in the Book of Mormon!

"Beautiful feet" is one of those phrases that the author of the Book of Mormon (Joseph Smith) really liked. It occurs six times overall, and four times in four consecutive verses.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings. Mosiah 12:21, 3 Nephi 20:40

And O how beautiful upon the mountains were their feet! Mosiah 15:15

And again, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those that are still publishing peace! Mosiah 15:16

And again, how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those who shall hereafter publish peace, yea, from this time henceforth and forever! Mosiah 15:17

For O how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings. Mosiah 15:18

This odd phrase also occurs in the King James Version of Bible three times, which, of course, is where Joseph Smith got the idea.

Here are the beautiful feet verses in the Bible.

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! Song of Solomon 7:1

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings! Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:15
