"If a soul ... lie unto his neighbour ... or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it ... then ... he shall restore that which he took ... or the lost thing which he found ... and shall add the fifth part more thereto." 6:2-5

What is stolen or wrongfully acquired should be returned to the owner.

"Thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife." 18:20

"When ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger. 19:9-10

Leave some harvest to glean and grapes on the vine for travelers and the poor.

" Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another." 19:11

Don't steal or lie.

"Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired." 19:13

"Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind." 19:14

Be kind to the deaf and blind.

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour." 19:15

Judge others fairly, without favoring the poor or the mighty.

"Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people." 19:16

Don't gossip.

"Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart." 19:17

Don't hate people.

"Love thy neighbor as thyself." 19:18

The best verse in Leviticus - maybe in the whole Bible.

"Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man." 19:32

Respect your elders.

"If a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself." 19:33-34

Be kind to strangers.

"Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have." 19:35-36

Treat others fairly. Don't cheat.

To help feed the poor and strangers, farmers should not harvest the corners of their fields. 23:22

The same laws apply to residents of a country and for aliens. 24:22

"Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof."
This verse is inscribed on the Liberty Bell and was used by abolitionists in their fight against slavery. Leviticus 25:10

Do not oppress one another. 25:17

"If thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee." 25:35
