0 What The Mormon Scriptures says about Taxes

I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book. Joseph Smith, History of the Church, 4:461

Good guys hate taxes; bad guys love them.

And even I, myself [Mosiah -- a good guy], have labored with mine own hands that I might serve you, and that ye should not be laden with taxes. Mosiah 2:14

And he [Zeniff -- a bad guy] laid a tax of one fifth part of all they possessed. Mosiah 11:3

He [Riplakish -- a bad guy] did tax them with heavy taxes. Ether 10:5
