Surah 26: Selected Verses

  1. Ta. Sin. Mim. These are revelations of the Scripture that maketh plain. 26:1-2
  2. If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 26:4
  3. Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds. 26:16
  4. Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 26:23
  5. (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger ... is indeed a madman! 26:27
  6. Then he [Moses] flung down his staff and it became a serpent. 26:32
  7. He [Moses] drew forth his hand and lo! it was white. 26:33
  8. (Pharaoh) said .. Lo! this [Moses] is verily a knowing wizard. 26:34
  9. Then Moses threw his staff and lo! it swallowed that which they did falsely show. 26:45
  10. The wizards were flung prostrate, Crying: We believe in the Lord of the Worlds. 26:46-47
  11. (Pharaoh) said: ... I will cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and verily I will crucify you every one. 26:49
  12. We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted. 26:63
  13. We [Allah] drowned the others. 26:66
  14. Hell will appear plainly to the erring. 26:91
  15. Then will they be hurled therein, they and the seducers and the hosts of Iblis, together. 26:94-95
  16. I [Noah] am not (here) to repulse believers. I am only a plain warner. 26:114-5
  17. They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 26:116
  18. We saved him and those with him in the laden ship Then afterward We drowned the others. 26:120
  19. I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. 26:135
  20. This is but a fable of the men of old, 26:137
  21. They denied him; therefor We destroyed them. 26:139
  22. (Behold) this she-camel. 26:155
  23. What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, And leave the wives your Lord created for you? 26:165-6
  24. He [Lot] said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 26:168
  25. Then afterward We destroyed the others. 26:172
  26. We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 26:173
  27. But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 26:189
  28. They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom. 26:201
  29. Invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 26:213
  30. Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 26:221
  31. As for poets, the erring follow them. 26:224
