Revelation given through Joseph Smith at Kirtland, Ohio, December 27 and 28, 1832, and January 3, 1833
2 Your prayers come up into the ears of the Lord and are recorded in the celestial world book. 3 Now I'm going to send you another comforter, the Holy Spirit. 4-5 This comforter is the promise of glory in the celestial kingdom, which is the glory of the church of the firstborn. 6 He has ascended and descended above and below everything. 7-10 He's also in the sun, and the moon, and the light of the moon, and the light of the stars, and the earth. 15 The spirit and the body are the soul.
21 Those who aren't made holy by the law that I've given you will inherit another kingdom, either the terrestrial or the telestial kingdom. 22 Those who can't obey the celestial law, can't have celestial glory. 23 Those who can't obey the terrestrial law, can't have terrestrial glory. 24 Those who can't obey the telestial law, can't have telestial glory.
25 The earth obeys the law of the celestial kingdom. 26 So the earth will be holy, but it will die. It will be raised from the dead and the righteous will inherit it. 28 Those who die with a celestial spirit will get the same body they had while they were alive. 29 They'll have celestial glory. 30 And the terrestrial dead will get terrestrial glory. 31 The telestial dead will get telestial glory. 32 When those that weren't members of any of these three kingdoms die, they'll go to their own place and enjoy whatever it is that they enjoy. 35 Those that break the law and live in sin will still be filthy. 37 There's no kingdom without space, and no space without a kingdom.
44 Minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years - these are all one year to God. 45 The earth rolls on her wings, and the moon gives her light.
64 Whatever you ask the Father in my name will be given to you. 65 But you will be condemned if you ask for something that is not expedient for you.
69 Don't have idle thoughts or laugh too much.
74-75 Here's a commandment for you: Wash your feet and hands, so you'll be clean from the blood of this wicked generation.
85 The wrath of God and the desolation of abomination awaits the wicked, both in this world and the next. The elders are not yet clean of the blood of this generation. 86 Let your hands be clean until the Lord comes.
87 In a few years, the earth will tremble like a drunken man, the sun won't shine, the moon will be bathed in blood, the stars will become exceedingly angry and fall down like figs from a fig tree. 89 Your testimony will cause earthquakes so that no one will be able to stand. 90 Then will come the testimony of thunderings, lightnings, tempests, and waves. 91 Everyone will be afraid. Many will have heart attacks.
92 Angels will fly by shouting:” The bridegroom is coming. Go meet him.” 93 There will be a great sign in heaven that everyone will see.
94 Another angel will say: “The great church, mother of abominations, that made all nations drunk on the wine of her fornication, who sits on many waters. and on islands in the sea is ready to be burned. He'll sound his trump and all nations will hear it. 95 It will be silent in heaven for half an hour. Then the curtain of heaven will unfold, and the Lord's face will be unveiled. 96 And the living saints will rise up to meet him. 97 All the dead people will come out of their graves and will rise up to meet him.
102 Another trump will sound, saying: “Those who remain will remain filthy still.”
105 Another angel will sound his trump, saying: “The whore that made all nations drink the wine of her fornication has fallen!”
106 Another angel will sound his trump, saying: “The Lamb of God has trodden the winepress of the fierceness of God's wrath.”
107 Then the saints will be filled with his glory. 108 And the first angel will reveal the secrets of men and the actions of God in the first thousand years. 109 Then the second angel will reveal the secret acts of men and the mighty works of God in the second thousand years. 110 And so on, until the seventh angel sounds his trump. Then Satan will be bound for a thousand years. 111 Then he'll be set free for a while to gather his armies. 112 And Michael the archangel will gather his armies in heaven. 113 Then the hosts of hell will battle Michael's heavenly armies. 114 The devil and his armies will be cast away and won't have power over the saints anymore.
121 Don't laugh, make small talk, or take pride in your wicked doings. 123 Love one another. And share things with others. 124 Don't be idle or unclean. Go to bed early and wake up early. 126 Pray all the time that you won't faint when I come. And I come quickly.
127 Learn from the school of the prophets.
138 Don't receive anyone in the school of the prophets unless he is clean from the blood of this generation. 139-40 He will be received by the washing of the feet, which will be administered by the president or presiding elder of the church. 141 Start with a prayer, then eat some bread and drink some wine, girding yourself as described in John 13. Amen.
