Although Moroni is the last book of the Book of Mormon, there are other books in the Mormon scriptures. These include The Bible, The Pearl of Great Price, The Doctrine and Covenants. The Book of Moses is the first book in the Pearl of Great Price.
1 1-2 Moses was on a mountain when God spoke to him face to face. 3 God said to Moses: “I'm God. Endless is my name. 6 You look like my Only Begotten.”
9 Then God left, and Moses fell down. 11 Moses said, “I saw God with my own eyes. But ith my spiritual eyes, not my real eyes. If I saw him with my real eyes, I'd be dead.”
12 Satan came to tempt him, saying, “Moses, son of man, worship me.”
13 Moses looked at Satan and said, "I'm a son of God. Go away, Satan, because God told me I look like his Only Begotten."
19-22 Satan cried out with a loud voice and said, “I'm the Only Begotten, worship me.”
Then he went away, while weeping and wailing and gnashing his teeth.
25-26 Moses saw God's glory again, and heard a voice saying, “You are blessed, Moses. You'll deliver my chosen people from bondage.”
27 While the voice was still speaking, Moses saw everyone and everything on earth.
30 Moses said to God, "Why did you make these things?"
God answered,
42 (These words were spoken on a mountain whose name no one will ever know. Don't show them to anyone except for believers. Amen.)31-34 For my own purpose. My Only Begotten Son and I created many worlds. And the first man, Adam, of which there are many.
35-38 But I'm only telling you about this earth. There are many heavens. When one earth passes away, another comes. There's no end to my works or my words.
41 There will come a time when people ignore the book that you will write. Then I'll inspire someone else who is like you, who will make them believe again.
(with some strange additions, corrections, and improvements)
2 1 God came to Moses and said,
Moses, I'm going to tell you about how I created this heaven and this earth with my Only Begotten. Write it all down.
27 I created man, male and female, to look like me and my Only Begotten.
3 1 I, God created everything spiritually before they existed naturally - including all the humans. - before there was a man to till the earth.
5 I, God, created everything spiritually before they existed naturally - including all the humans - before there was a man to till the earth.
7 I created man from the dust of the earth. (But actually I created everything spiritually before creating them naturally.)
9 The trees were spiritual when I created them, but now I'm making them natural.
17 You may choose to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but remember that I forbid it.
4 1 And I, the Lord God, said to Moses,
Satan existed from the beginning. He came to me and said, "Send me. I'll be your son and redeem mankind."
2 But my beloved son, who was my beloved and chosen from the beginning, said to me, “Whatever you want is fine with me. I want you to get all the glory.”
3 So because Satan rebelled against me and tried to destroy men's freedom, I threw him out. 4 And he became Satan is the devil.
26 I, God, called the first woman Eve - of which there are many.
32 (I spoke these words to Moses. Don't show them to any non-believers. Amen.)
