Revelation given through Joseph Smith at Hiram, Ohio, November 11, 1831
1 Listen to me, says the Lord. Someone should go with Oliver Cowdery when he carries the commandments and money to Zion. 2 So I, the Lord, would like John Whitmer to go with him. 3 I'd also like him to keep writing a history of the church. 8 Amen.
Revelation given through Joseph Smith at Hiram, Ohio, November 12, 1831
1 Listen to the commandment that I, the Lord, give to Joseph Smith, Jr., Martin Harris, Oliver Cowdery, John Whitmer, Sidney Rigdon, and William W. Phelps. 5 It's their business to manage the church of God, with all the benefits thereof. 7-8 But if they have more than they need, they should put the excess in the storehouse, to be shared with the inhabitants of Zion. 14 All temporal things shall be shared equally. 18 Amen.

1 Listen to the voice of the Lord. 8 Make Newel K. Whitney a bishop. 10 The bishop is the church's money keeper. 15 Everyone must give everything they own to the bishop. 23 And that's all I have to say about that. 26 Amen.
Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet and Sidney Rigdon, at Hiram, Ohio, January 10, 1832
1 They should continue preaching until conference. 2 Their missions will be made known to them by the voice of the conference. 3 Joseph Smith, Jr. and Sidney Rigdon should translate again. 6 And that's all I have to say about that. Gird up your loins and be sober. Amen.

1 The unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband, otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. 2 In the age of the apostles, the Jews who didn't believe in the gospel of Jesus obeyed the law of circumcision. 3 Unbelieving husbands wanted their children to be circumcised. 4 So the unbelieving children became unholy. 5 The apostle gave them a commandment (not from the Lord but from himself) that a believer shouldn’t marry an unbeliever, unless they did away with the law of Moses. 6 So their children were uncircumcised, and the tradition was done away with which said that little children are unholy (as is said among the Jews). 7 But little children are holy because of the atonement of Jesus. That's what this scripture means.

1 I'm God. 6 I revoke the commission that I gave to William E. McLellin to go to the eastern countries. 7 I'm giving him a new commandment to chasten him for murmuring. 8 He sinned, but I forgive him. Now I command him to go to the south countries. 9 Let Luke Johnson go with him.
13 Let Orson Hyde and Samuel H. Smith go preach in the eastern countries. 14 Lyman Johnson, and Orson Pratt are also to go preach in the eastern countries. 15 Asa Dodds and Calves Wilson will go preach in the western countries. 17 Major N. Ashley and Burr Riggs will preach in the south country.
20 If someone doesn't receive you, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them. 21 You'll be happy to know that on judgment day, you'll judge and condemn them. 22 The heathen will be treated better on judgement day than they will be. So gird up your loins and you'll be lifted up on the last day.
