This is one of the Bible verses that is most often quoted by Chrsitians who oppose abortion rights. It makes such a nice slogan for a bumper sticker.
But this verse has nothing to do with abortion.
It occurs in Moses's final speech, which encourages the Israelites to obey all of the Torah's commandments. Those who obey the commandments will live; those who don't will die -- after being tormented by all of the curses that Moses listed before his speech. These curses include hemorrhoids, madness, watching your wife be raped while you eat your own children.
Abortion isn't mentioned.
