Did God call Abraham before or after he moved to Haran?
God called Abraham before he moved to Haran. God called Abraham after he moved to Haran
Acts 7:2-3
The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

Genesis 11:31- 12:4
And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

The Biblically Correct answer: God called Abraham after he moved to Haran.

There's no good reason to believe either story, but if you're going to believe one or the other, you might as well go with the original source. Stephen had no way of knowing what happened nearly 2000 years before he was born. What he "knew" he got from Genesis, and he just got some of the details confused.
