THE BOOK OF MORONI
The secret words of Jesus
Moroni tells the Lamanites what Jesus said in secret to his twelve Nephite apostles.
(No official LDS cartoon for this chapter.)
(2:1-3a) Ye shall give the Holy Ghost.|
Jesus put his hands on each of his twelve disciples. He called them each by their name and told them to pray to the Father in his name in
mighty prayer. After their mighty prayer, they'll have the power to put their hands on other people and give them the Holy Ghost in Jesus's

LDS footnote), Jesus selected twelve Nephite apostles. That's the "first appearing" that Moroni is talking about here.
