(8:1) "When he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." That must have been nice. Too bad it didn't last.

(8:2) "The seven angels ... were given seven trumpets." When the seventh and last seal is opened, seven angels were given seven trumpets. When they start blowing them, all hell breaks loose.

(8:5) "The angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake."

First trumpet: Hail and fire mixed with blood is cast down to earth, burning 1/3 of all the trees and all of the grass.

(8:7) "The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up."

Second trumpet: A burning mountain is thrown into the sea, causing 1/3 of it to become blood, killing 1/3 of all sea life, and destroying 1/3 of the ships.

(8:8) "The second angel sounded, and ... a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood."

(8:9) "And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea ... died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed."

Third trumpet: a great star (Wormwood) fell into the rivers, making them "bitter" and killing "many men."

(8:10) "The third angel sounded, and a great star ... fell upon the third part of the rivers."

(8:11) "The name of the star is called Wormwood ... and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."

Fourth trumpet: One-third of the sun, moon, and stars are "smitten".

(8:12) "The fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars."
