You shall be filled with joy and gladness; and know this, that in the day of judgment you shall be judges of that house, and condemn them. 75:21

Trivia: According to the three grand keys that are provided in Section 129, how can you tell if a messenger from God is an angel, the spirit of a just man made perfect, or the devil?

Doctrine & Covenants : Good Stuff (21)

  1. Charity, love, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, kindness, charity, humility, diligence - are all good things. 4:1
  2. Help the poor with your property. 42:30
  3. Everyone's needs will be supplied. 42:33
  4. Live together in love. 42:45
  5. Take care of the poor. 44:6
  6. Wo to rich men who won't help the poor. Your riches will canker your souls. 56:16
  7. Love your neighbor as yourself. That's a nice idea, but it isn't original in the D&C. It's copied directly from the Bible. See . 59:6
  8. Forgive each other. 64:9
  9. If the family doesn't receive an adequate inheritance, the church will provide for them. 83:5
  10. The church will provide for widows, orphans, and the poor. 83:6
  11. It isn't right for one man to be in bondage to another. 101:79
  12. We believe that governments should ensure that individuals are free, and have the right to protect their life and property. 134:2
  13. We believe that laws must be enforced equally. 134:3
  14. We do not believe that human law has a right to intefere with religion.  134:4
  15. We believe that the government should restrain crime, but never control conscience; it should punish guilt, but never suppress freedom. 134:4
  16. We believe that men should uphold their government, that sedition and rebellion should be punished, and that governments should enact laws for the public good, while protecting freedom of conscience. 134:5
  17. We believe that laws should be respected and obeyed. 134:6
  18. We believe that laws should be enacted to protect religious freedom, as long as such beliefs do  not justify sedition or conspiracy. 134:7
  19. We believe that crimes should be punished. 134:8
  20. We do not believe that religion should influence government,  or that one religion should be granted special privileges. 134:9
  21. We believe that men should appeal to the civil law to redress wrongs, but individuals also have the right to defend themselves and their property when such relief is unavailable. 134:11
